- Our fabrics are knit just for us to our unique standards.
- We use non-toxic dyes that are ideal for sensitive skin and won't stain anything else in your bin.
- We pre-shrink our fabrics as a part of our finishing process to minimize shrinkage in your home.
- All of our items are happily machine washable.
- Both the planet and our organic basics prefer a low tumble dry. (So does pretty much everything in your closet!)

New ownership hoodies are thinner and zippers are not as good quality. Customer service is also now super slow. Disappointing, I have been loyal to this brand for a long time.
MMmini mioche2 weeks agoHey Nicole, this is the new owner and I wanted to reach out directly to respond. I think the first point of confusion may be that we carry 3 different hoodies - The Cloud Hoodie, which is a lightweight jersey fabric; The Cozy Hoodie, which is a midweight french terry fabric; and The Plush Hoodie, which is a heavier weight fleece fabric. On each of our product and collection pages we do try to specify these weights for our customers, but I think sometimes it can get missed which creates confusion! Since you're responding on the Cozy Hoodie, I would assume that you're comparing it to the fleece Plush Hoodie, which indeed is a different fabric. But the Plush Hoodie is still available for sale and I'd be happy to help you exchange it if you prefer that format!
Secondly, on your zipper question: We have been using the same zippers from YKK since the brand started producing hoodies. We produce exclusively with YKK zippers because they are best in class in the industry. We use grey zippers on our hoodies, and brass zippers on our Plush Biker Romper and our Plush Varsity Bomber, but we actually just made the decision this week to upgrade the grey zippers to brass across the collection as a whole, because we feel they're more beautiful and unique. You will see this in the near future as it's happening in our next production run - but in the meantime, rest assured, these are the zippers we've been using since day one. (Our Production Manager, who's been in her role for the last five years, happily confirmed that she has never bought any zipper but YKK, in the exact same style for our hoodies, since she started with the company.)
From a manufacturing standpoint, we are using the same fabric supplier that we have used for the history of the business, and they are knitting our fabric consistently, with premium GOTS certified organic cotton. Our Head of Product has been in her role for six years and wanted me to confirm this personally from her!
From an overall brand perspective, I do know that people worry that things will change for the worse when a brand changes hands - I've had the same worries with some of my favourite brands, and sadly it's more often than not with good reason. But I promise you this: so long as this brand is under my stewardship, our commitment to quality, ethical manufacturing, and sustainability will always be held as paramount.

Nice, non-bulky hoodie. I actually prefer it to the long wearing roots hoodies. Itβs more flexible less ridged than theirs. And also hasnβt pilled at all or changed shape in wash.

Great colour my son and daughter love these sweaters! Great for cool spring and warmer fall weather, in winter we need to switch away from cotton as it doesnβt perform as well to keep the kids dry and warm if theyβre going to be outside playing in the snow, but these work great as a second layer over a base layer if weβre just going out to and from the car to another place and not outside in the minus temps for very long.
